I think Schaeffer set the whole thing up to humiliate Kenny from the start. I think he always disliked him and saw him as a joke, and when Kenny first walked into his dealership, he saw the perfect opportunity to get a cheap laugh. That's why he only paid Kenny $200, made him wear the shirt, and then made him pitch, because he knew Kenny would fail at that.
